These sunflowers started as a small watercolor painting that grew into a tall skinny piece. I visualized the sunflowers growing on the fence in my garden during the summer. The sunflowers are a combination of commercial and hand-dyed/painted fabrics and are thread painted. The centers are beaded to add texture and sparkle.
